So what LOD for iPod is everyone using?

I'm thinking of buying this: iBasso

Good enough? will I really hear a difference if I got this: Ultra Copper LOD ?

I use a $50 ALO dock. If you buy the iBasso you will still need a mini to mini so if you already have that, then it would be the less expensive option.

I used to have ALO Female LOD with CablePro Panorama Mini to RCA and now I am with ALO Zebra Wood Dock with ALO SS RCA Cable.

ALO Bling Bling

FANTASTIC LoD, was using a small mini dock that uses a mini to mini IC, very noticeable difference.

for iphone 3G: various DIY stuffs; jena 18AWG/cryo silver, cryo silver in silk, low profile jena/cryo silver. DIY crystal cables piccolino. I could go on

for DIYMOD: all DIY struffs, blackgate piccolino w/USB port, 18AWG jena, 18AWG jena/cryo silver, lowpro piccolino.

Large capped LOD. piccolino teflon VCAP dock with USB (for lisa), jena/cryo silver OIMP VCAP dock (for pico)

My favorites would be the piccolino wires with the VCAP dock at the top of course and then the jena/cryo silver combo. I like vampire too, but nowhere near as much. its too stiff. also playing with some new silver which has some potential.

I would stick to all in one LOD's rather than the Ibasso one. its one more possible point of failure that doesnt need to be there.

I started out using a Siik LOD I got from Headroom, But then I finaly made my own "Silver" LOD
I got the ipod dock adapters, 30g Solid silver wire in teflon sleeves and soldered it all together with a 3.5mm rt angle neutriks at the end.
Now from what I understand, silver makes the music bright and analytical and having tested it, I agree. Now if I can bring myself to solder up a Copper ground with silver rt + Lt or an all copper version I'll let you know. But the soldering is very difficult for even the steadiest of hands and my hands are far from steady.

Wow.. Surprised to see so many ALO stuff here.

Well they are a head-fi sponsor and hence given some prominence on the site.

I'm surprised there isn't more of an organized showcase of custom cable makers myself.
