1/8 to 1/8 adapter? POSSIBLY??

Hey, I know this is a REALLY absurd (stupid) question, but is there a 1/8 to 1/8 adapter?

I got the new Westone ES cable for my Super fi's and the ANNOYING this is that this new plug wont go in completely with the plastic case on my Sony.

So I'm hoping theres an adapter thats thinner that will allow me to be able to plug it in completely? I just spent $10 on the case and don't really want to run without it. (I keep my stuff really meticulously)

Thanks guys,

Of course it's possible.
I still can't imagine what adapter you're looking for. Is it a female or male?

I'm assuming it would have a small 3.5mm plug going to a 3.5mm jack.

Then it's just a normal extension cable.

I would assume any of the iPhone adapter cables would work fine for your purpose. The original iPhone had a smaller jack for headphones to fit in, so you needed to use a 1/8" to slim 1/8" adapter to make 98% of headphones fit.

Yeah, very possible!

Something like this, but perhaps a bit shorter:

Just ask someone around here to build you one. Get something that has at least a bit of cable in between the connectors. Don't stress the Sony's jack by using an adapter.

Is it an after market protective case? You may be able to drill a larger hole in it.

Is that really going to be a problem?
Because I already ordered one off ebay.

Hope it'll be ok.

I don't like the adapters at all and definitely not for portable use. You put a lot of stress on the jacks inside your DAP. Having a cable in between gives some slack and movement.
