AHAHA! The secret of the "Mongrel" has been revealed. So you must have bridged 4 amps into 2 pairs.
So if I take 1 amp for a bridged mono signal, ie L+R = L + and L-. I connect the hot and cold terminals to a speaker...I believe the ground channel is simply floating...the driver sees a voltage difference between hot and cold and does not need a ground drain as such? Is that all it takes to bridge the amps - a differential signal?
The more I research this the more balanced kinda makes a lot of sense in theory....the voltage differential error cancellation at the speaker makes absolute sense to keep the entire chain balanced from source to speaker.
Yes I was looking at the Altronics Class A 20 watt kit and really wanted to build one for speakers...then I read that the B22 can pump out 18 watts or 50 watts balanced...thats when I thought I should order a Glass Jar Audio B22 kit instead. But now that I know one can bridge the Altronics for a 2X40 watt pure class A speaker amp...my interest has been piqued again!!!
