Your joking :|? You DO know that the pictures look like crap, the actual things look great.
I don't know, I thought they were a little ugly. Another reason to go for 900s FTW.

They dont look like the photos, they are more midnight blue, almost black with specks of blue that give it an almost 3D effect. If you have seen a custom metallic dark blue paint job, that would be close.

I was talking about the AD700s. That gold and purple color scheme just wasn't working for me.

it actually looks like a counter-fit jack to me. i remembered the jack to be like the ad700 jack when i was looking at it as a possible buy. and there is no writing on the side of the wings

That's the real thing. I had the A700. It looked exactly like that.

Well, of course, unless mine was the counterfeit also.

I once thought that the midrange was a bit recessed for me. Until yesterday. Turns out that fit is crucial. With it positioned correctly, instruments and vocals came out oh so bootiful. I've had these phones for over a year now and I've never heard it sound the way it did yesterday.

How were they positioned correctly compared to how you had been positioning them? Did you bend those bars at all?

I looked in the mirror yesterday to see how it was positioned. The wings were directly on the middle of the head. The ear pieces themselves, were slightly tilted to the rear.

I'll update my response after playing around with it a bit more. My memory may be shoddy.
