Since they are replaceable, I'm sure Senn would sell you a replacement one if needed. Probably best to ask before cutting up the cable however.

It would be cool if they used something like mono jacks at the headphone or something common one could buy online already. Maybe Senn is planning on selling their connectors to grab another piece of the market?

Assuming I can afford a 1400 dollar headphone, I would assume I can afford 2K+ headphone amps.

I would get the Zana Deux and commission Rockhopper to build a beta22.

Well this is all in my fantasies right now.

iPod's headphone out. I'll be double gol-durned if I spend my hard-earned benjamins on one of them snake-oil ampthings. Besides, show me the difference between an "amp'd" headphone and one plugged into my stove's toaster outlet/car's lighter port/60s Curtis receiver, and I'll show you a delusional placebohead, etc., etc.

In the real world, I'll be using mine with a modded EarMax Pro and HR Ultra electronics and that's where I plan to stick, at least until my two year-old gets through college. I have this fantasy that they'll be one of those cans that sounds good with everything and transcendent with the best.

I would use my high voltage Supra, to date, the best Senn amp I have ever heard. If this new HD800 headphone sounds anything like the old Senns this pairing will be the equivalent of the hand and the glove.





For some hybrid variety I will go with the Stacker II.

What kind of tubes? SET? Was it designed for high impedance headphones? Just general facts... not familiar with the amp at all...
