When someone tries to touch your headphones/earphones and in turn you punch them.
I have done this.

When you physically laugh at people when they say they're new SkullCandy's/Bose In-Ears are amazing.

When you fantasise about one day seeing a girl on the train home wearing Qualias, and planning exactly what pickup line to use (for a listen to the Qualias, that is).

I am currently in that situation now... I dont even know how
EDIT: and when you finally decide it's time to reboot the router when head-fi stops working

When you spend time trying to convert cable disbelievers even though they are one of the most stubborn groups of people on the face of the planet.

You shut down every application except your CD ripping software and don't even touch the computer desk at all (for fear of causing the laser to vibrate) while you are ripping CDs.

When someone asks you what kind of music you like and you launch into a one-sided conversation which includes the use of terms such as ALAC, FLAC, OGG, APE, CUE, and ends with a chuckle about the 128k bitrate of itunes purchases, thus leaving the conversation starter utterly confused and speechless, as he really just wanted to find out if you'd heard the new Young (insert random rap name here) album.

Has happened, actually. Very proud of myself for that one.

Cheers!
