Nope, you misunderstood me (or perhaps I didn't make myself clear enough). So I will try again...
I meant that the $1400 launch price tag will (hopefully) drop $400 to $500 dollars. So $1400 - $400 = $1000, for example. Make sense now?

And just for giggles I figured I would mention that the GS-1000s retail for $995 (if memory serves), but I have seen them sell for $650ish on Audiogon in like new condition (albeit rare that they go that low).
Also, the Denon D7000s retail at $999, but I have seen them sell for $599 from reputable dealers. So.... yeah.
