So
How is the stock cable? can you replace it? will replace it with something like Blue Dragon or Silver will make even a better sound?
Also
I don't like the way they look, I prefer the "old style" Shinn
Did you look at the cable in the picture? I'd hardly call that the 'stock' cable of yesteryear.

Gear mentioned in this thread:

So are they gold or silver? The picture looks gold, but the brochure shot looks silver.

Looks like Cardas may be able to stay in the Senn connector biz!

wow..this is it...the HD800.

very sophisticated design..inspired by SA5000 i guess?..if u see the headband and the earcups.

Could it stand upto R10 thats the question and still be priced so we mortals can afford it.

maybe a bunch of HD800 owners can post theirs to get an idea of how much of an influence normal manufacturing variation changes sonics

Is that a genuine graph or their 'aim'?

I wonder, what amp will you need for it? will the usual amp that goes with the HD650 be enough?

That's interesting. Why would Senn post FRs for each headphone? I wonder if some sort of customization options could be forthcoming?

Damn you Jude I could not fall asleep this evening and got up at 3:00 AM to scan for news of CES and Macworld. Then I see this. Worse still, the review is very well-written - you have true journalistic flair, while still sending us enough facts to keep us salivating like one of Pavlov's canines waiting for their next treat.

How in #$@% I'm gon'a sleep for the next two days. And, especially now that I was just becoming a believer in my 650's.

My wife won't understand, my kids will think I'm sick or something. I need a drink. Make it two; one for each ear.
