Doh! I didn't catch the impedance symbol while looking at the picture. This is what you get when you wake up at 3:30 AM with an urge of browsing Head-Fi after a few months. Maybe all that sixth sense stuff will end being true after all.

Still interested on how demanding those headphones are, and how good they will scale balanced. Time will tell, I guess, although they don't seem to look too promising for some casual unamped applications.

Sennheiser better be at Canjam 09 in full force with this one!

A new Sennheiser HD will do that.

If price are really around $1400, then i'd not expect hd 600\650 prices to drop since hd 800 is in completely different price bracket and hd 650 remain strong as their mid-priced flagship.

If the pricing is the suggested MSRP, I believe it won't be long before they can be had for sub g.

I love what I'm hearing about the sound, but I'm not too keen on how they look. They have the look of 'gamer headphones.'
