Not necessarily...

A US buyer could quite easily justify buying the Woo Audio amps, solely because they're made in the US, and can be serviced in the US, without the high return shipping costs.

However... I found the DV332 to sound almost as good as my WA6 SE Maxed - certainly not enough difference to justify the much higher price of the WA6 SE. And... the DV332 is also a "work of art" - though the parts quality of my WA6 SE Maxed is much better.

The DV3322 has separate power supplies for each channel - if that's dual mono, then its dual mono.

I couldn't resist. Order will be placed today through Jasmine. I offered them a slightly lower price and I hope they accept. Bought some nice tubes in advance, will be walking through the audio market on the weekend too. I think the 6Ж1П-ЕВ from the Восход (Voshod) plant and the Uly 6С19П-ВР should go well with the amp. After all, they're so cheap. I'll be hunting some Svetlana tubes, but I don't think that will be hard as the Светлана plant is in the city I'm in

Where can I read up on the specs of the internals etc? Google doesn't get me much dope on this.
And thanks for the accurate reply. My query wasn't meant to be derogatory, and you've taken in the fashion I hoped you would.
So its nearly as good as the WA6 SE - high praise. Just curious, are you talking about the 332 or the 3322? Which is better? Is the 3322 the 332's replacement?

Check with "Godkin" - he's got both and can compare the two. I've only had the DV332 - which is great!

Unfortunately, the DV332 is no longer available, and not too many of them show up for sale on the forum. So... you may only have one option - the DV3322.

Just might be. I can see the filters; seems to be dual mono, won't DV guys be able to answer this?

BTW does this amp have any kind of gain settings? How does it work with lower impedance cans?

DARKVOICE amps work best with high impedance cans like the HD650s and BEYERDYNAMIC DT880s. I only own high impedance cans so can't comment personally, but those in the know say they can sound overly harsh and bright with GRADOs etc. The only exception would be the 337. But who knows, the 3322 just might break that trend.
