My new Lite-On DVDRW is crazy slow when ripping a CD to Lossless on Itunes like 3X speed. My old CDRW ripped CDs at 10-25x speed. Are there any settings I can change or a firmware update to speed things up?

turning off the error correction in Itunes did it. The new cd ripped at 24x.

I just got the Pioneer DVR-1910LS 20X Maximum speed, I use EAC and FLAC frontend, they work quickly, I dont own an Ipod.
