Holy ****. This is amazing. The cover art got me, and the music kept me. I INSTANTLY thought Mastodon with a harder edge though.

It's soooo good. Gonna pick up the LP cut. If for nothing but the cover art because...******* it's beautiful.

Now the tough question...do we get it in brown or black?

Hmm, i was gonna go with black just cause isnt it typically better for surface noise or something?

Get the recent reissue of Mystic Places of Dawn. I picked it up a month or so ago and spun it for the first time yesterday and it sounded great. It's brickwalled, but free of clipping.

I don't really believe in that BLACK IS BETTER crap. For picture discs, sure...but when properly cleaned I haven't really noticed more surface noise on black vs color vinyl. I can never get past the ONLY 500 OF THESE ARE EVER GONNA BE BROWN thing.

Not to be a crap-head but I posted a link at the end of the last page and would really like some feedback on it (personally and by the guy who made the music)

.... back on topic,

Well i just ordered the brown LPs, the Septic Flesh clear LP, and i grabbed the new Svart Crown disc since ive been wanting to order that as well, and it was at the same shop....i also just preordered the new The Ocean disc, i wanted to get the LPs, but you can only get them from the europe store and it was like 80 bucks for the cheap version, which i couldnt quite stomach..

oh and this came in today, blows the CD away for SQ, but thats not hard, the CD sounds like garbage

It was also my first run in with a 45 haha there isnt any sign of it on the disc anywhere, and it started and sounded all slow, and i was like damn, gotta change which nub the belt is on for the first time...

You'll run into 45s a lot with Metal (I've noticed lately anyway), which is a good thing most of the time.

Just wait til you get one (like my Sunn O))) records) that changes speeds PER SIDE. 33 on side one, 45 on side 2.

Ok guys, you NEED to give this one a listen. I'm actually surprised no one has mentioned it yet. One of the best debuts I've ever heard and one of the best albums this year.

Anciients - Heart of Oak

Sounds like Barren Earth + Opeth + Ana Kefr, if you can imagine that!

This is pretty damn good, not going to lie, artwork drew me in. Sound kept me listening, nice find dude

So the instrumental version of the new The Ocean album thats up for streaming is pretty amazing, I also really enjoyed the new Ghost BC track, though ive never listened to them before

Going to see Ghost live in May. I heard they put on one helluva a show. I have not heard the new album other than Secular Haze which was great. It's out Tuesday so I should have a review next week or so (we have SO much to review).

Anyone heard this?
It showed up on WiMP today. Never heard Ghost before, but I quite liked this.

                                     Ghost - Infestissumam

Reminds me of when David Axelrod produced all the music for the Electric Prunes. There first album and demos I like better. Who knows I may get used to it. Just heard them play Here Comes The Sun by The Beatles Japan Import. There like Coven and BOC only more pop.

I'm not much of a Ghost fan but I like that Beatles cover a lot. The way they changed the harmonies completely changed the song, and it's just a really cool take on the original. I'd totally buy a classic rock cover album from them.
