No. I really don't like extreme metal. I prefer clean vocals and soothing acoustic guitars. Maybe even some drums, but only if they play slower than 80bpm.

Ah. That's fine too :p Have you heard of Cloudkicker? Amazing metal which isn't very heavy and it's instrumental. Beacons is such a beautiful album.

Acoustic (this isn't metal though)?

He has. He is also fooling with you. Negakinu is our extreme metal authority (and my current BM sensei).

@Negakinu: Seriously check out Fhoi Myore and let me know...

It's got 1994 fury with better production. Hostile stuff wink.gif

Aborted - Global Flatline

Cattle Decapitation - Monolith Of Inhumanity

Dawn Of Demise - Rejoice In Vengeance

There are quite more i would like to add,but i am more concerned to listen some Obituary and drink some Paulaner's Weisse to be honest...It has been another great year for Metal, many bad works but many great albums to choose from too.

That ,hmmm, cover from Cannibal Corpse has really made my day, hahaha

Thank you for Dawn of Demise. I was reading Michael Mercer's article last week and saw James Blake's photo and tried listening to his tracks and suddenly I became completely possessed by this one track - I Mind. I am not a fan of electronic/dubstep music per se so I found it surprising. But it sounded soo good on my RE-262 and speakers.

Until you talked about Dawn Of Demise. Now I back .... \m/

haha ,which track did you refer to?lol, glad you enjoyed

Beside those band i have been listening in those last months ,i had many pleasures in listening to other band and genres such Jazz ,Techno,Diana Krall ,The Who etc..,but

yesterday i started a list for a long month listening to oldies (and some not so old) Death Metal albums revival such Cannibal Corpse,Obituary,Grave,Suffocation,Death and Dark Funeral.

Well i am a great fan of considerably newer great band of the last years and decades like Nile,Krisiun and those many band of Technical ,Brutal and Progressive Metal, but when i put some "Shredded Humans" or "Scream Bloody Gore" i just realize how many great Metal genres and Sub-Genres there are and how much i still enjoying older records too.I don't know if this is because i am a great Zombie culture fan,but especially with Cannibal Corpse i can get enough of that horrorful distorted guitars and guturall goring vocals, hahah.Well sorry about those random thoughts.

I guess you meant "Porn". :)

One of my favourite bands ever,i don't know if there has been a better metal drummer ,at least in the genre and technically speaking,in my opinion.

I actually liked them more 9 years ago. I saw them live too. Maybe if I give this new album more time it will grow on me.

Looks like they had the same drummer from 04 on.

I kind of started to loose interest in them around 07's Ithyphallic, with Annihilation of the Wicked being my all time favorite, then Black Seeds of Vengeance 2nd and In Their Darkened Shrines being 3rd favorite.

They always had good recordings, except for this last album? Even seeing them live, it was like OK,"this sound was really cool when it first came out, the middle eastern sound is getting a little stale?"

It's cool that they have taken a lot of the classic ideas(from Morbid Angel)and pushed the genre farther. They were coming into the popularity of the death metal community at a time when they were needed. An album like In Their Darkened Shrines was ground breaking in 2002. We had never heard a Death Metal album with so much cinematic sound and effects. It was and still is a technical masterpiece. I still like them but it is a task to get as excited about them as I once was.

I can't believe I'm actually starting to like this? Not really my style, but the sound and musicianship is just so good it transcends whatever genre it is?

Another album I'm trying to like but in the end ..........I don't think I'll be able to get there?

1000 Too much Bon Jovi being channeled!
