It's kinda hard to like 'em, not the most accessible band out there. But I LOVE 'EM!

Anyone into Thrash in here? Or are you all Black/Death Metal fans?

Haha, that was actually kinda' funny. I guess that's because I don't like Black Metal to begin with. Gives me the creeps. I love Melodic Death Metal, though.

Thrash is cool, although I don't have too many Thrash bands in my library.

I love it. What kind are you referring to? Newer or older stuff? I like the Evile, Warbringer, and Gama Bomb type stuff.

OK, anyone into more-or-less Doom/Stoner? I may as well ask here, too:

http://www.head-fi.org/t/623752/any-of-these-remasters-worth-buying

I wanted to by some CDs and 2 of them are remasters and I want to know whether they're any good (or at least not as bad). I'm talking about 2012 version of Sleep's "Dopesmoker" and "On Fire" by Spiritual Beggars.
There is s/t of Grand Magus, too but I'm not sure if it's a remaster or just re-release?

I dont do this often, but anyone have any recommendations for a completely open can(like as little isolation as possible) that would be good for metal for under 100 bucks? i need something other than my Jh13s for work, my boss is telling me that i need to be able to hear from now on. like the phone and such. Im not a fan of grados or Audio Technica Art models either...

Over there in Norway, the churches all burn down
Let's go dress in goth clothes and get painted like a clown
Awesome leather armbands with spikes like two feet long
Hair is parted down the middle, frowning like a frog

In league with the devil, talking Satan, skulls and hell
Making mommy mad, cause that's original
If you hate good music, then it can't hurt to go
Image-conscious ********, black metal fashion show

I hope that you get hit by a bus. Why?
Black metal sucks
Careful not to smear your makeup
You suck
Goth clothes and frowns, just like we discussed
Black metal sucks
Auuuuuuuuuugh What?
You suck

Blacke Foryst of Despayr, taking photos of the band
Put 'em up on myspace you're the envy of the land
Posing with a battleaxe and grimacing with hate
When you're done with this, figure skating at the lake

The music is best, it's got the hardest metal sound
Quickly riffing on one note is certain to astound
Dimly echoed drumming and some goat heads to distract
From the terrible screeching that you pass off as your act

I wish your black clothes would combust. Why?
Black metal sucks
You know what dude, you look like a schmuck
You suck
Singer sounds like a wounded duck                                                           HA
Black metal sucks
I'd rather listen to... us
You suck

You know how I know you look like a fool?
Lich King rules
We're the best band and we're super cool
We rule
Straight from the 80's and we're old school
Lich King rules
Running out of rhymes, so wading pool
Thrash is the rule

Of course ! I love their style !

Well, I don't really like most of the new stuff. I have Tales From The Grave In Space - but only 'cause it was free. I like almost any piece of Thrash that comes from the 80s'.

This may be the most underrated metal drumming record of all time! I'm just amazed at the talent here.

I didn't know they were underrated. I still remember, The first time I listened to these, I went bonkers. Their drumming reminds me of the movie 'Memento'.

I sat in a car once and listened to Blood Mountain with a super great prog keyboardist in both an ELP cover band and a Doors cover band. He had never heard Mastodon but loved it. The progressive parts of Blood Mountain are so natural! It was so cool because he totally understood the progressive component of Mastodon!

Mastodon kicks ass.
