Mike Patton is one of my heroes. \m/
Love this thread, lots of good people here.
Let's do a Top 5, Top 10, or Top 20 list here!
So much good stuff happens here that it's hard to keep up!
My top 5 is on the way.
Top of what?
Top of what?
I'd imagine either top of 2016 or top period.
I'd have to break it up by genre probably, but I'll say this: Batushka's Litourgiya is my favorite album of the 2010s. Period.
Top bonnets of the year.
Operation Mindcrime was played as the opener for Metallica's ......And Justice For All. But Metallica fans didn't want to hear the band and took every cushion off every chair at the Long Beach Arena. A couple of people died, but it was the best concert I've ever seen. I was into Operation Mindcrime but could see and feel the unrest of a sea of Metallica fans. It was amazing!
If you guys don't have an AudioQuest Nighthawk yet you really should consider one for metal. It is not the fastest driver out there, but it's sonic signature for bad recording is amazing. Listening to in the nightside eclipse with them is like listening to a whole new album. It is full, layered, detailed and not overly bright. Listening to it on my 650 is a much worse experience.
Such a great headphone.
I wholeheartedly agree, but you knew I would

Have you heard nightside eclipse on it?
Yup, that was the concert but in Portland, OR. I've got to say that I loved Mindcrime but wasn't very happy with Metallica. It was basketball playoff season, and it was Portland vs Chicago in the finals. Jason wore a Chicago Bulls shirt and taunted the crowd. Then I guess we weren't stoking their ego enough, so they stopped paying and demanded that we scream louder for them or they'd walk off the stage. At that point, I just sat down. I mean, I was a student who paid a good chunk of money to go to the concert and the people I paid to pay were talking about not honoring that? Not cool!
