Im new to black metal so i have not heard this before. Great track and im surprised i enjoy this a lot. I also like the skaphe with the first listen eventhough i tried to avoid listening to bm before. Maybe my taste changed
Black metal tends to have far worse production quality than death metal, but usually intentionally so. If it was produced with an overly clean sound, it wouldn't sound nearly as evil and whatnot. That being said, there's plenty of BM with decent production.
Ya the album I shared before is not extreme enough so you find it boring. I know you are a fan of Abigor. I only listen to Nachthymnen (From the Twilight Kingdom). What is your favorite abigor's album?

It's not that it's not extreme enough; it's just that the song structures are the type of thing I've heard a million times before. I like nearly all types of music, including just about all types of metal.
I think my favorite Abigor album is this one:
The songwriting isn't nearly as good as some of their '90s material (which is true for many bands) but it has sort of a technical death metal feel and just sounds really vicious.
I feel awkward for sharing it too many times, but save this link to my black metal playlist. You'll get to know the genre more efficiently with it.

I understand that you mostly listen to melodic death metal and when listening to this bm, it feels claustrophobic and muddy in your point of view. Before this, I mostly listen to death metal and I really enjoy the catchy and brutal riffs with pristine production. Transitioning to bm I feel same with you. Lack clarity, muddy, etc. After several listens, I started to appreciate the quality of recording, the rawness, the atmosphere that I cannot get when listening to dm. Yea, it takes time.
I know this may be controversial, but lord have mercy I wish black metal artists would embrace better production techniques. I greatly enjoy the genre but not the production values...

That would be nice, I'll admit. Some BM is preferable (at least for me) with a raw sound, but there are plenty of BM bands that could benefit from better production.
The bands that blend BM with other styles (particularly DM) tend to have better production. I'm guessing it's because they have a background in those other styles and know more about how to reach that level of sound quality, whereas your typical trve kvlt BM band are total beginners when it comes to that.
I'm trying to figure out how to have the best production quality and dynamic range. I know very little about recording techniques and the like. At this point I have created my own unique metal style with elements from most metal genres and some other types of music as well. I know how I want it to sound in my head, but don't have the first clue how to manifest it. I'm guessing I'll need to buy all sorts of equipment to get the various sounds I'm looking for, though I'd like to do lots of it digitally, since that gives you more control over certain things.
God...I had to take off my UR55 (latest headphone addition) because it was unbearable with the metal I was listening to. Of the four Koss headphones I have owned, it's technically the best, but tonally the worst. The frequency response is all over the place, with extreme peaks and dips, unlike the others, which are moderately warm down low and slightly bright up top. I miss some performance when switching to the KTXPRO1, but at least I can listen to virtually anything with it, whereas the UR55 can sound great with some music and confusingly (since it's the most expensive one) bad the rest of the time.
On another note... Nevermore is such a great band. I need to spend more time with their other albums. Dead Heart In A Dead World gets all my love...

I'm not talking about losing the "raw" feeling. I'm talking about how a lot of BM sounds overly compressed. For me, that tends to ruin the mood and raw feeling...
