That is quite a list! Looking forward to some of those.

I want to check out Kataklysm and Jungle Rot. Is the whole album out? I Haven't been able to find an affordable copy of Acturus' new one. That's on my list for sure. I should listen to the new Moonspell and Gorgoroth, too.

Kataklysm is not out or are any on the written list.

Streaming Jungle Rot Order Shall Prevail. Sounds pretty OK.

AMG gave it 2.5 for consistent but predictable and noted the hardcore influence which I hadn't thought of. But, I hear the influence now.

I agree w/ the review that they have a heavy, but accessible DM style with thrash, groove and Swedish DM influences, and a strong vocalist among other things. Out of the box, first song, I can make out most of the lyrics. How rare is that in DM!

I don't think it's as strong as Kill on Command. Some filler. Not AOTY material, but worth a spin. Might have to check out the new COF after reading some positive press. Kinda wrote them off a couple of albums ago.

Of their eight records Jungle Rot seemed to keep improving and peaked at Kill On Command. Kill On Command was my favorite record of 2011. Still it's easy to enjoy their 2009 effort "What Horrors Await" also. This years effort is maybe equal to 2009s and for what ever reason I'm starting to listen to 2013s release "Terror Regime" again too.

They are totally easy to listen too. The groove mixed with a great guitar sound is what made Kill On Command such a great record. AMG thought the new album was front loaded and that may be so.

I feel many are never going to like COF and even for me, I only liked the Dusk And Her Embrace for the longest time before liking everything else.

I don't have a lot of DM, but I still like it and like an old school sound frequently. Kill on Command is a benchmark sounding DM album for me. I also liked last year's Behemoth's album. My problem is I'm picky, and I want all the DM I purchase to be of that quality :smile_phones:

We are still 4 days away from the official release of COF's 11 studio release Hammer Of The Witches.

The reviews look good. I have listened to the whole album and it just may be the album of the year for me. It takes two listens really as the first listen ends up being a little lackluster? On the second listen you feel right at home and ready to be entertained and surprised by the added effects of the twin guitars and new keyboard/female backing vocalist.

It seems to be getting 4.5 stars out of 5. I think that is a fair review? If you don't like COF you may think the album is OK, if you like COF but have been unhappy with their quality starting off after 2009, then your in for a surprise treat.

I love everything about this new record.

Thanks Reccar. I've got Dusk and Her Embrace, Nymphetamine and and Thornography.  Dusk obviously is a classic. I thought Nymphetamine was pretty fun but not essential and Thornography was meh. I will check the new one out based on your feedback. I saw Metalsucks has a humorous video review. You probably saw that.

Looking forward to your thoughts on the rest of the 2015 releases you posted.

There are only so many with a taste for COF.
