It is driving me crazy too. I triple checked too.

Halfway through the year-the listmania has already started!
I haven't bought that much new music. The standouts for me are Triptykon-Melana Chasmata and Lord Mantis-Death Mask. Yes-obvious, but I'm going for quality not quantity at this point.
Just ordered Dead Congregation. Will pick up Crowabr.
As I think back on albums I really love from several years ago-milestone albums -I think Triptykon will be up there with stuff I go back to: Ash Borer, Ghost Reveries, Asphyx last two albums, Dark Tranquility's classic output, Marduk, Altar of Plagues, Sunbather, Neurosis, etc.
I've taken a pass on a couple of veteran favorites-Behemoth, Agalloch and Mastodon. Any big enthusiastic thumbs up for any of these-meaning big keepers? Sometimes you get an album and then listen to it a few times and put away never to be heard again.
Anyone heard the new Trap Them or Atlas Moth?
Dead Congregation is going to be very, very hard to top for my favourite DM record this year. It's got replay value like crazy
the new Vader is great! I'm a big Vader fan, i find it's a super solid release but it doesn't offer much new to top something as great as the Dead Congregation (who are a new band to me), but it's definitely in my top list so far this year.
I haven't picked up Mastadon yet...i like all their work but i'm not a raving fan so i can wait a bit. Agalloch...well I know it's blasphemy but i've never been crazy about them, I haven't given the new one a fair listen yet...It seems ok but nothing unlike their prior output.
the new crowbar was a surprise, it's easily my favorite release of theirs ever, just has a cool vibe and is a lot of fun. I am excited about the new Allageon, should be good (i have an itunes card maybe i'll pick it up tonite). And anyone who hasn't picked up the fall of rauros/panopticon split, really should...it's stellar, and surprisingly to me (as more of a panopticon fan) the fall of rauros half is really awesome!
I think we're headed for another year like last, with a whole slew of really solid releases and a couple masterpieces (lord mantis, triptykon) so far...
Has anyone heard any bands similar to Fallujah. Please do not mention tech death bands like Beyond Creation, Archspire, Vale of Pnath, Abiotic, Obscura, Anamolous etc.
The only one I think is a little similar is Aegeon but then that is more Deathcore.
What people call, Atmospheric Technical/Death Metal
