Oh yeah, really nice people!

After hearing V I'd say it's not my favorite so far, but it was very good. Felt a lot more "cinematic" than the others, and I wish I could understand the language because it sounded like a great story was being told there.

What I don't get is why his last two got panned? I thought they were both solid outings. The recent record with the new arrangements with various notable vocalist is killer stuff.

Well..... Maybe at times certain albums just can't be beat. Look at Vader where we were wondering if Welcome to The Morbid Reich could be beat. Now that I look back.....???what was I thinking. How many great albums can a band make. If we are lucky they give us consistency. That is hard enough, I think. But ya all of us have been let down when we thought our favorite band was going to return and take us to the next level. Then and only then do you realize how rare and special that magic is and that it is not something you can just go to the store and pick up. It is only 2,3 or 4 records top for a band and many end up with just one great record. IMO

I don't even know why and it is sad.

I am afraid, I will feel the same after listening to the new Opeth and then I will kill myself.

y'all should check this out

the soft pink truth - why do the heathen rage

it's an electronic cover album / send up album of black metal songs, half dedication half satire, very electro house style.  i think it's pretty neat and fun LOL, listening to sadomatic rites by beherit to an 80's electro synth line is definitely awesome

Well Opeth arnt worth killing yourself over? They once were but that's a story for another thread at a different place and time. Plus wait till you get as old and as jaded as me before killing yourself. By that time you won't care. After you get to a certain age you just don't give a dam.

Sheet I'm so old I remember being let down when KISS Unmasked came out. Talk about a let down.

:) I know I know but, as one gets older and the excitement surrounding new album releases starts to wane, and its a slow process.. I hate it!!!

I got a LOT of hate for comparing the post-death metal Opeth to King Crimson, but it really isn't that hard to see. KC's Red and Opeth's Heritage are very similar
