Have any of you industry guys heard the entire new Triptykon? Sounds like it's going to be great.

I have been begging, but no, not yet. I suppose it will drop very soon though.

Stil havent had a chance to listen to the entire thing all in one sitting, but what I have heard, has been pretty stellar yeah. Though I did like both their last two as well. Metazoa would probably still be my favorite, but I think Earth Driver might be better than Dwellings, I will have to listen more to determine that.

Hmm...just streamed it, really love some of it but can't stand other parts. The vocals make me mad, pointless and self indulgent (but thankfully sparingly used). The country leanings of the instrumental sections are outstanding. Will not be immediately buying this one, the awful vocals are not sitting well. Will try again and think about it....thanks for the info though!

For those interested, I will say there is absolutely nothing metal about this. This is straight up psych-post-rock, much in the vein of A Silver Mt. Zion

Question: Is there any good (pure) thrash after 1995? Havok is about all I can come up with

Well it's always opinion I guess. I'm a massive pantera fan, and I consider lamb of god pretty thrash...revocation has done some good stuff. Is say there is some but not as much as pre 95 that's for sure

These Kreator releases are modern day classics still showing the world that Thrash is not dead. Enemy of God (2005) is a masterpiece.

Onslaught has made a comeback. And besides Havoc other bands have created a Thrash mixture like the band Skeletonwitch. Of course there is the ultimate

Blackend Thrash by Bewitched.
