Peace Sells is cool but it always seemed pretty dark to me

^by dark do you mean the mix-original is a bit muffled but honest .

or do you mean the feel  & atmosphere of the album.i agree on both counts.:D

On the original mix i cant really hear the double bass drum or bass much.

the remasters really bring the double bass out.

I didn't realize Sigh was the one putting out the new album when I first read that. Sweet!

As for Sigh - Bring it the f%ck on!!!!

As for Peace Sells, it is muddy by way of no treble with mid rape.

Mini review

Ringworm

Hammer Of The Witch

Out March 18th we have this 42 minute 13 song Hardcore/Thrash album from the legendary Ohio band. I'm no expert in Hardcore bands but like at times when we see a Thrash mix like this album is.

You know it is American right in the first 50 seconds. The best part of this album is the fact that it contains not a sliver of Mall-core, none! There is a wonderful bass drum groove and big guitars even though the leads have a basic low intelligence "punk" level of complexity. The songs are short stripped down and right to the point. The vocals are legible and screaming with vocals having a mix sound between Napalm Death and early Accept.

The sound is heavy and fast with a contagious groove built into every song. Great breaks and consistent bass integration along into the multi-tracked guitar cords.

This album is refreshing in a good way and just shows once more that the Hardcore influence in Thrash and Metal is not dead. Along with the missing Mall-core there is also a missing Grindcore element making this release a pure statement.

Get it! You will like it!
