Delete your comment, it's bad for you and it's bad for us. If you're gonna do it then do it, just don't talk about it

Higher bitrate than itunes:

I heard that album about a year ago, but I don't remember where I found out about them. I don't hear much of a deathcore influence personally.

Falloch just kind of confirmed me on FB that their next album is going to be mastered dynamically :)

Score.

It's actually not surprising at all considering that their last album scored a solid nine with some elevens here and there :P

Tattoo artist put on Agalloch and I realized I'd forgotten how good Ashes Against the Grain was.

We get word that Beyond Creation is finally in the studio again. It has been years waiting.

I have mixed feelings about this.. I think "The Aura" comes very close to being a perfect death metal album - if such a thing exists. Everything about it is just right.. From the songwriting and excution to the production...The music is technical and complex but never at the expense of rocking and while it's definately br00tal, it's melodic enough to keep me interested from beginning to end - and start over again. It's still becoming better with every listen and I think it will be very hard to top - even for Beyond Creation!

Seriously, the only aspect it would be humanly possibly to improve upon is the artwork... It's not bad, it just doesn't reflect the brilliance of the music.

So, while I am certainly no pessimist and obviously hope for another masterpiece, I can't help but prepare for some disappointment...

The great part is they have waited. They just didn't come out with record number two. First release metal records which are epic do get surpassed but the first record always has more personality. Look at Black Sabbath's 2nd record. Look at Van Halen's 2nd record.

That was the thing, they were an unknown but had this killer production quality better than what was standard. They were old-school and new at the same time.

Hopefully they will stay the same style. The charm was that it was their first record. The cover was a tribute to Death Metal past with a Dan Seagrave style painting saying this is where were from. But ya, your worried just because you think they can't better themselves. If it sucks we still have the first record, I never get tired of it.

I really believe in this canadian cohort. Phillipe Boucher and Dominic Lapointe both come from amazing bands and have proven that they can write some great songs paired with awesome chops.

Listened to one song last night. Definitely more atmospheric, not really metal from what I heard.
