The cat on the cover looks exactly like one of mine, though!

New Behemoth! This track sounds far more black metal, which I definitely don't mind. Maybe I'm crazy, but I'm hearing some Necrophobic licks in there.

Oh, and you can HEAR the bass!

Especially track four. This music only has elements of metal.

I'm 1 track in and this is incredible.

Start with Alien and City by Strapping Young Lad. Then move to Deconstruction and Epicloud from DTP.

Also, new Behemoth isn't as good as the last single, but damn that album is gonna be good.

I'm not sure about starting with Deconstruction. Let's not scare them away. My pick would be Terria or Addicted; both are a lot smoother but still heavy.

Mine too. Second one was the last best-of from them.

Ha, for some reason I always thought Strapping Young Lad was a pop-punk band. Maybe it's the name. Reading the desrciption in Wiki, this stuff sounds like it's probably really good:

Containing elements of death metal, thrash metal, black metal, progressive metal and industrial metal, Strapping Young Lad's music was characterized by the use of complex time signatures, polyrhythmic guitar riffing and drumming, blast beats and Wall of Sound production.

I especially like this part: "complex time signatures, polyrhythmic guitar riffing and drumming". I'll have to check them out.

SYL is really heavy and angry. In the best way. Alien is the high point, IMO.

Devin is a genius.

He's so charismatic live. It's awesome.

Also, the pit at that festival was terrible. Festival pits are boring as ****.
