Insomnium <3

Has anyone ever found that "perfect" pair of melodic metal cans(Insomnium, Disarmonia mundi, Dark Tranquility, Be'lakor, In flames, Noumena, Omnium Gatherum, Deadlock, sonic syndicate, etc.) ?

I am going to say PX 100 II ( as a cheap but decent option )

Sonic Syndicate, Deadlock and In Flames?

Sorry, I am an a-hole. ;) I'd suggest looking at the Sennheisher HD25-1 II if you want something closed. Then again, I have no idea what your budget is or requirements are. In general most people seem to use either the HD25, Fidelio X1, HD600, Mad Dog, Grado SR60i up to SR225i or really fast electrostatics. These is just a generalisation though. Give us a budget and some requirements and I bet we'll find you something sweet.

Not only can he listen to metal music..........he hooks em up to all kinds of shet, now that's stupid.

In addition to listening to music whenever and wherever he wants, Lee also has plans to hook the wireless system up to various sensors like ultrasonic rangefinders, thermometers, and even geiger counters, giving him the ability to hear distances like a bat, or sense how hot something is without touching it.

Har har, though I am talking about all three of there earlier stuff. Released in the early 2000's before screamo started to rear it's ugly head. As you can see by the rest of the band choices they are accompanied by, my metal preference is not screamo. P.S, I hate headphones that emphasize the bass for the sake of it, drowning out everything else. I even sent back the dt770 80ohm because of that problem.

Guess what I should have said is, I like iron maiden/megadeth/iced earth(which I do alot) only and hate any type of metal that came there after. Thank you for the recommendations though, I am waiting on the phidelio x1 coming back down in price on amazon UK it was £150 a week ago and back up to £180.

Shame about the quality, but still worth a listen. They are up there with Insomnium in the melodic metal genre.

Full album, every song is great. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KIpk6ATuMTQ
