So broken records, that is an issue I'm pretty paranoid about. I move every few years, and it's always moving companies doing the packing and shipping. There is always a possibility of me having to move overseas, . Opening a box full of broken vinyls that I spent hundreds of dollars on would, you know, make me really mad. Another thing is what suicidalorange pointed out... getting a $30 vinyl that is mastered the same as a $10 CD is a waste of cash, aside from bigger album art and the nifty-ness of having it on vinyl.
Agh, I hate headfi sometimes. I want to upgrade my HD600 with a pair of closed phones and buy a good amp/DAC, but whenever I seem to have my mind set on something, I read some stuff that destroys my intentions. For example, I felt dead set on a pair of TH600, but then read that hte mid range is recessed, and the other pair of phones I had with recessed mids SUCKED with metal. There aren't too many closed phones that appeal to me. I'll have $1,500 to spend in about six months. Anyway, I don't mean to derail the metal thread with my first world woes.
