To those not in the know, ever wanted a black metal Arcturus?

Listening to album now, thanks for the recommendation. I don't know CODE.

Glad you guys like code! Check out "Resplendent Grotesque", as their former vocalist really defined this sound for them and it's so damn sinister.

Really does remind me of Arcturus :P

But do you people know what I really really want to see (and listen to..)?
A new Augury album!
Did they quit or what?
It's way too quiet around this outstanding band :/

Oh Augury ♥

Yeah! I remember there was some conflict between the members or something, right? I remember when Concealed came out, they were among the first to really pull off the spacey tech-death thing. It was great.

Speaking of defunct Canadian Tech Death, another band that has disappeared is Quo Vadis, featuring the amazing bassist from Beyond Creation (before Beyond Creation, even!). Another shame.

I like most of the album, it's more primal than max has been in awhile...

One I've really been loving is the new satyricon track, I'm not sure when/if the new album is out but I can't wait to get it

Ya, I like the groovieness and the sound of the guitar. Lots of old-time riffs too. That's the thing. Guys like this know the ingredients, they just have to add em in. Were never going to hear anything new or ground-breaking but it's entertaining none the less.

Are you talking about Satyricon's self titled "Satyricon" it came out 9 /9/13.

I really like there older stuff better. The album sounds funny in the bass and guitar dept. The first songs are cool. Then there is stuff that doesn't seem to flow together. IMO.

This is from a guy who has gone out, seek-ed out, and purchased every Satyricon CD ever released. I liked Volcano and  The Age Of Nero better, even when the critics ripped em up.

Hey thanks, I'm gonna pick it up anyways if only for the single (infinity of time and space). I've been mostly out of the loop for a while and I'm only home for a couple days so I have to catch up LOL
