NOTE: The clamping factor will obviously differ from person to person, but I'm surprised to find little mention of it, as it is the sole reason I'd never think twice about...
When I listened to the sound for the 1st time, I was hit by it. I was punched by the not-punchy-bass. I was hoping it would offer much better bass response than SE315.. equals to Klipsch Image...

HiFiMAN HE400
By now I think most of us are familiar with the history behind the HiFiMAN HE-series headphones. What started with a single model has grown into a full...
I was in Japan and was looking at headphones to buy. I had a cheap budget of about 4000 yen or circa $40. I bought this headphone because it was on sale for $30 and was very good looking. It was...
Actually, Musician's Friend is a wholly owned subsidiary of Guitar Center, and they also own Music123. Guitar Center has been around a loooong time in SoCal: Guitar Center - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Aha. I always thought it was the other way around. Thanks for pointing that out.
FWIW, the GuitarCenter.com sale on SCL3 & 4 also includes free shipping (CONUS), or at least it did last night when I ordered the SCL3 -- sales tax is included if you have a GC anywhere in your state, but that was only $4 for me. SCL3 for $64 -- hard to beat that, even if it is white!
Does anybody know a shop which offers the SCL4 instant rebate and international delivery? Otherwise I won't be able to upgrade my IEMs - running really low on money right now
I just ordered 2 pairs of the SCL4 ... one for me and one for a friend. Makes me wonder if an upgraded model is coming out soon ... prices like this generally foretell a "clearing the channel."
I used to own e3c and e4c which are just old names for SCL3 and SCL4. Like somebody mentioned, they're nowhere close to Triple fi or SE530 but for the price they're really great choices for someone who's just getting into hi-fi. I RMAed both in the past because of the cables but both times I was able to get a fresh new pair and sold it for the same amount of money so I didn't lose any money in the end.
sure do... but was still wondering if anyone knows any sales or closeouts (of this nature) on any of shure's with the release of the updated se535 (or any other suggestions for in ear headphones for that matter)
