Haha, i forgot wats the diff. But in the Sennheiser Website they will tell you though. All the information and details are there as well

Btw, i think some ppl also said that all 3 of the drivers use the same dynamic drivers but different tunings.

I'm very interested about this too. However i'm not sure someone can compare them, because it is said the IE8 needs at least 200 hours of burn-in, so they may age differently.
But hey, a comparison between them being brand new would be very interesting too.
I've heard absolutely nobody talking about the IE6 so far.

i hear sennhaiser uses a mix of japanese cherry wood and french oak to age the IE8....

i would love to know if the IE7 is the same as the IE8 but minus the bass tuning thingy, if anything that tuning dial puts me off wanting them

Hey Mark, they're not the same at all. The IE8 has a warmer and fuller sound, with a slightly bigger soundstage. And with the IE8 bass setting at default, I couldn't detect any noticeable difference in bass quantity or quality over the IE7. The 'full' sound of the IE8 is similar to the TF10 (which you have).

i think i might have to hear them both 7 and 8 one day, luckily amp3 are just down the road and may have demo pairs of them, can i ask why did you get the 7's? i take it was before you bought the 8's?
