Just bought some hungry Beyerdynamic DT-770-250's and I need something to satisfy the high impedance. Not looking to buy a tube amp or anything, just something good for less than $50.

All I have to say is that their awesome pair of headphones. Great sound stage, vocals are a bit too strong, you can feel the bass other than hearing it, and great for movies. Comfort is 4.5...

I know people bash on Bose because of they're over priced and I agree. I believe these retail for about $150 or so and I paid $85 for these due to employee discount at where I work. With that...

I bought these headphones as an upgrade from my BD DT-770 Pro 80Ohm. The are better in all areas, except that the right can can't handle bass. As soon as there are low bass it just becomes a...

I just picked these up today so this is just an initial assessment. These are a great sounding headphone overall but the fact that they are also closed back and still have great soundstage at...

everything about these headphones is flawless. Everything is balanced, and perfect. Any of the reviews that didn't like them most likely have a fake pair, or, hate life. The only thing I could...

I have an MCS 3830, which is roughly a 3/8's size integrated amp. It has most of the features of a full-size amp, including the ability to power speakers, tho it's just a bit marginal at that, but great for headphones. The face is silver, the case beige/tan. It's old school, heavy for its size. $30 + shipping takes it. Photos and exact measurements are possible if you are interested.

Well my offer for the old headroom still stands. Another option would be to check on craigslist. There are usually a couple of old receivers for sale in Jersey (no namebrand stuff) but should be powerful enough to power up the beyers and pretty cheap aswell around 70 (but hey for an extra 20 you get a receiver). I checked the beyers with the Airhead and its does a pretty good job driving them, not as good as a full sized amp like my canamp but then its a pretty big margin price wise.

Found the PM's u sent, umm one of them u say u want to wait till u get the dt770's. Did u try them unampped yet? And the other pm says were about 13 min away which would make trades/sales really easy but aside from that u really don't mention anything else about wanting the amp. Unfortunately I dont have a cmoy or fiio, but if I were to place my bets, a good cmoy should do the trick better than the fiio. But I think a cmoy should be roughly 30 if u make it yourself or 50 on ebay. The headroom should be as powerful if not more powerful than a cmoy and comes with crossfeed aside from that I think either will do the job at that price range. If you're willing to budge a little, an integrated amp/receiver should work fine as well but obv you won't get any means of portability.

I've a cmoy - one of those small altoid cans, so its highly portable - which I'm planning to sell, if you're interested. It comes with rechargable batteries (two) and a mini-to-mini cable. Pm me if you're interested. I'll let it go for about 35 dollars?
