Some few months ago, in the 840C thread below, I pointed about the new Harman Kardon HD 990.
At that point, the CDP had only been announced and there was scarce information about it, with the exception of the fact that it had similar functionality to the 840C, in the sense that it has digital inputs and balanced outputs. Seems information is still scarce as the unit is only being made available in Europe, but there is something more intriguing about it now...

...apparently, the DAC/SRC/processor is very similar to the 840C, in the sense that it uses two AD1955 chips and a Black Fin processor.
On the other hand... it costs significantly less. The street price seems to hover around 350EUR now. I asked my local dealer for a unit, but he says it's been on backorder for a month now.
Anyone managed to get their hands on one of them?
