Dear Mods and Admin's,

Are self-produced music CDs and DVDs (on CD-R and DVD-R) allowed to be sold here? I am a musician with almost 15 years in the music business who has put out his own material on his own dime, on the locally-based HMW/Label Cove label, under the pennames "The Heavy Metal Warrior", during my days with locally-based thrash/hardcore band S.M.F. and put out two albums, ...and Proud Of It (1998) and SchizoTron (2002) as well as a few EPs and demos, and also as an old-school 80s-style gangsta rapper named "AK47", entitiled Hadlock's Most Wanted in 2004, and also a LIVE DVD entitled LIVE At Rhody Fest 2005, with another CD coming up later on in 2009 (for more details on my entire discography, visit my website at HEAVY METAL WARRIOR, LTD. - Discography to see for yourself.).

I am anxious to sell my own work to all my fellow Head-Fi'ers, and just wondered if it would be against the poilcies of this board to do so, Don't forget, I put out my own material on CD-R and DVD-R, as I am the original artist in question.

There are so many unsigned, independent artists (including myself) who are waiting for a moderator or otherwise to say "OK" or "Yes" to the idea of selling their own wares to all their fellow Head-Fi'ers.

I know that after you hearing and watching my AK47 material that you guys will immediately jump on it and buy a copy. Whatever is done with that copy (download to PMP/file sharing, etc.) is up to you. I don't mind, after all, that is how many struggling artists get noticed by managers, A&R reps, and record companies, and I think that it would be a hot idea, it's just what the moderators have to say to the idea that counts now.

To hear or see what you may potentially buy on CD or DVD, go to my official AK47 MySpace site at AK47 on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads You will be amazed enough to (when given the OK) buy either the CD, DVD, and/or my lineup of other merchandise, including my upcoming "Handicap Rap" T-shirts.

So I had a listen and I can't say I'm convinced.

The idea is still a good one though if it can be done in the right way.
