"Controversy erupted inside the cage between the first and second rounds when the NSAC was alerted to the inappropriate use of Vaseline by St. Pierre cornerman Phil Nurse. Officials wiped the welterweight champion down with a towel between rounds and monitored the corner closely until the bouts halt."

"
The document cites unnamed mixed martial arts fighters who complained about St. Pierres use of greasing agents as evidence of his culpability."

The above is quoted from the linked article.

Point 1: If officials were "alerted" between the 1st and 2nd round, I don't see how it could have affected the outcome of the fight. The officials wiped St Pierre off and were obviously watching from early on.

Point 2: I always thought there was something weird about Sean Sherk getting busted for steroid use and Penn quickly slipping right in. I often suspected Penn may have had snitches out there that ratted Sherk out. It looks like I may have been correct since said "unnamed" snitches are trying to ruin St Pierre now.

WOW...I'll say it again. Penn QUIT. If the fight was really down to a little vaseline then the fight should have gone the distance and been very close. It was not. I have now lost what little remaining respect I had for Penn.

I didn't see the pics of the car Rob. You got a link to those? PM if you want.
What about Machida/Evans? Could be a great fight....?

im so glad machida is getting a title shot. the guy has beated everyone the UFC has thrown at him and it amazes me it took so long (and a rampage injury ) for him to get a title shot.

Imagine the front and rear in great condition but the middle completely gone.

Both parts of the car were 30-35 feet apart at the accident scene.

Goodbye Chuck!!!! the iceman is done . he lost to Shougun last night .

And here is a qoute on a discussion about P4P in MMA where people like dana white and such are arguing a . silva and gsp before fedor as p4p king.--and i thought this quote is spot on.

""Fedor is without a doubt the #1 P4P fighter on the ****ing planet. You will never see him get dropped by a one hit wonder as GSP did with Serra. You will never see him disco dance around for 5 rounds refusing to engage his opponent, instead he gets **** done and proves his superiority. And unlike BJ, he doesn’t keep losing and then run his mouth off to keep getting undeserved title fights. Fedor is simply the best ****ing fighter in the sport. Dana needs to pull his head out of his ass.""

LOL!!! Friggin awesome screwdriver! Fedor is a bad mofo no doubt. I personally am about sick of Anderson Spider Silva...yeah he's good...but are we putting on a pay per view entertainment fight or a self-defense clinic? Where is the friggin offense from Anderson Silva? All he does is dance around and counter like he's protecting himself from a street attack or something....come on...I paid 40 bucks for that BS!!!?? I want to see someone get the bloody hell whooped out of them...lol

i am disappointed too about anderson silva without a doubt - he was just not like he used to , its like he is not engaging - maybe he is just toying with the opposition .

For me to prove his skills he needs to fight more in the LH weight division , the guy walks around 215 lbs as his normal weight and fights at 185 lbs .

I agree...He was not fighting like in his previous fights before. He always had this incredible attack momentum once it started and he would never stop.

In this fight, he was really careful throughout the fight. He could have finished the guy off easily especially in the 4th or 5th round.

And Fedor is king...If I was Dana White, I would be careful on how to use Fedor in the organization. He will take out all of the top cards IMO. And to be honest, I don't think White even deserves a fighter like Fedor to be in the UFC.

Screwdriver that quote about the P4P king is bang on. I mean Fedor didn't look so polished against AA, but he was engaging, and seems to be the master at exploiting a microsecond of weakness or the slightest hint of a misstep.
