I loved these buds to bits, they were the perfect everyday headphone. Small and light and comfortable and barely protruded past the outside of your ears. I like the fact that no one can really...
These and the PL30 are terrible quality buds, I went through both of them in less than 8 months. Both times they failed they left me in an awkward position where I really needed earbuds for...

I just got my C3's and am looking for recommendations. Suggestions and experiences will be greatly appreciated as I am new to the higher end portable audio community. Thanks!
i currently use the penguin caffeine ultra with my x10's. they sound pretty good with it. the sound is a bit more clear, not by a huge ton but it is, and the bass has improved with the bass boost it has on the amp. im actually planning on selling it, i just think my current portable setup is too bulky. let me know if ur interested, ill be including accessories in the price.
I'm using a total bithead with X10's, there is a definite improvement in cymbals compared to unamped but that could be down to imod line out being far better than the headphone out on an ipod mini.
50ohms is enough to have no background hiss up to about 80% volume (the hiss was ever present with triple fi's), which is higher than I'm comfortable with. Only got ~12hours on the Image's so far but it's sounding like a good match. I'll comment more in a couple of weeks when they are burnt in properly.
I find that the Nuforce mobile icon is incredibly well matched to the Custom 3's. It takes everything I like about the Custom 3's and makes it better, but maintains the balance.
using the practical devices xm4 with an op-amp ad8620 upgrade. i find that the forward sounding highs are complimented well with the warm, laid-back sound of this amp configuration. listening from an ipod classic 160gb playing apple losseless, btw.
