AudiophileChina ruined my xmas - Page 2

If they are selling clones and a Headfi sponsor then Jude should be contacted.
Especially since iBasso is a sponsor as well.....

Wow, this is absolutely unacceptable behavior coming from a head-fi sponsor.
I hope some type of action will be taken against them, and I hope you get your money back from them.

Emailed them with no response so i thought i would keep it and take the loss, as i would have to pay shipping charge's and wait almost 2 months. I plugged it in to my G5 ipod to give it a listen and all i heard was distortion at this point i was not happy one bit, to make the story short figured out the headphone jack is messed up so before i throw this away i would like to try and fix it, it does work if you put my headphone in the jack about 5 % of the way and let it sit there now that's not portable audio lol can someone please help should i open to see if any solder joints are broken?

And Happy Holidays to everyone!
Why would you have to pay for the return shipping if they shipped the wrong item? Also, why didnt you order the amp from ibasso?

Hmm, now I see that they have NO forum page here. It just re-routes you to their main website.

That can't be good for newcomers who just assume that it's safe to shop there.

Finally got an email from audiophilechina.com first they said they would take $30off. Why would i want that when the amp's headphone jack doesn't work. Second they said i could send it back for a refund which i plan to do. If i do get a refund i'll will post it here.

That's good progress for the most part...wait, are they telling you to ship it all the way back to China?!

Makes me all the the more grateful that Little Dot has a drop-off factory here in the USA in case anything goes wrong with their products.

Yes back to china so i would have to wait another month in the mean while i will be looking into another amp maybe the xm5 cause there local but i think i'm going to go the route of desktop amp first cause i have the er6-i which are fine for my ipod and second as i do most of my listening @ my computer desk my budget would be $500 cdn to power Ah d5000's, Hd-555 while gaming, and maybe the HD-650

Don't ibasso have 2 versions of the amp? One for export and then a rebadged on for the home market. I don't think its a clone, just the other version, but mute point if its broken.
In these hard credit crunch times you'd have thought companies would have their act superslick, every order counts.

Yeah, back to China it should go.
...and they should refund all your money, including shipping costs for the return.

latest from ibasso

Our company has two brands, iBasso for international sale, and Mini-Audio for China Market. We only supply Mini-Audio products to our legal dealer in China and do not allow them to sell Mini-Audio products to other countries. If there is Mini-Audio products returning from other countries for warranty request, we may reject the request or charge repair fee. Recently, there are some reports of illegal dealer selling Mini-Audio products online. Also, we have not release the D3 in Mini-Audio brand, some illegal dealer is selling Mini-Audio D3 online, but send the buyer D2 Boa insteal. Please be aware of that.

Looks like someone should of just bought from their website. It's not going to be much cheaper buying elsewhere.

Jude said in another thread that AudiophileChina asked them to change their forum to a direct link to their site.

Just

Just get a REAL ibasso D3...Im not sure if it was this poster or someone noted to me when I was considering selling my D3 (I was going to sell it for what it cost me), they said, well I can get it cheaper than that at audiophilechina...after I looked at the website and realized it was not a true ibasso product, nor was it a D3, they only sell the D2...anyway...good luck.

Get a D3, much better than that other product.

hard to tell what is (or was) going on with them.

cannot get a straight answer from them as to wether something is in stock, or not

cannot
get them to confirm that they've either: received payment, received your order, or are processing your order.

as far as i could tell, if something is unavailable, you can't change this by email, you need to resubmit the form, on the website. but even then, you want info on that, back to square one i'm afraid.

i know when starting paypal disputes you are meant to give them some time. but their stubbornly vague replies to any communication point to either bogus activity, OR, a totally amateur business.

i got more response from them after starting paypal dispute. i got my refund.

seriously, i've ordered things from german websites where all the buttons & forms are there, i can't speak german but the process is pretty universal in any language. on audiophile china's site, things are missing.

sloppy, very sloppy. avoid.
