Need a song suggestion - Page 2

The first song I listened to was Tool-Lateralus. Granted I'm a fan of them... But its still a GREAT song...

I'm very curious as to how you react(ed) to the Amon Tobin - Esther's song, personally for me it gave an "eargasm" with the HD-650s.

It seems instrumental suggestions are ok too, well here's mine then:
'A few good men' by Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band.
Even if you don't like the genre, this is awesome on every level (but preferably very loud).

New Headphones Mind Party

I hear Darkside Of The Moon can be frightning if you here it on new headphones. There is talking and who knows what else going on. I would love to hear Darkside Of The Moon on those even if I was jumpy from it. For me hearing music I know or thought I knew, to be fun again with new headphones. St. Peppers by the Beatles, remastered or Lp. Are You Experienced by J. Hendrix we all have heard but not really, maybe comprehended? Yes?" Did you touch the sky?" Klause Shultz does Darkside of the Moog, any of them in that series if you can find them. How about the Amy Grant electro remix in 3d audio? Lord of the Rings 1 is always a test disk. How about the new Dead Can Dance SACDs any of those. Faust 1. How about the Tubular Bells disk? How about Faust So Far SO What? Any Kraftwork, Tonefloat, Kraftwork Autobaun rules. Can, Gong or Hawkwind.

The guitar in this song does some crazy highs. If the cans are too bright, this song will hurt your ears within a few seconds of listening.

Dr. Dre - Forgot About Dre
Who better to test bass with than Dre? lol What is nice about this song is that the bass in the song is quite controlled (unlike most other rap). Ironically the Beats headphones he makes have extremely loose bass lol

Bob Dylan - Knockin' On Heaven's Door
Nice to test general sound quality. A very clean song, with not much going on.
Great suggestions everyone, finally got around to getting a lot of it.

I must say, rap has died. I don't even like rap much, but that song was phenominal.

Ziggy is always great :]

Black Light Syndrome from Bozzio Levin Stevens

Wide soundstage, dynamics and a excellent recording.
The performers speak for themselves.

All best, Mario

If you like band music, go for "Strictly Sousa" by the Dallas Wind Ensemble. This is a terrific recording.

For jazz, try Bob Mintzer Big Band, "Spectrum," which is out of print but an outstanding recording.
