woah, deja vu time with the PL-11's. They look exactly like the NE-7M's!
Wouldn't be surprised though if they are OEM'ed by the same folks.

Actually, I have been long suspecting SoundMAGIC is the OEM for Nuforce's NE7M and NE8. Not only both looks alike, the sound signature described by reviewer seems to support the same conclusion as well.

Though I don't reject the possibility of reviewing NuForce's IEM, it is actually quite difficult to get them locally, so the likeliness of reviewing NE7M or NE8 is slim.

I won't be reviewing any earbud in this thread (trying to keep it IEM only), but kostalex do have an earbud review thread (including PK2) that I find useful and accurate: http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f103/7...in-pk2-243576/

Was the PL-11 purchased from MP4Nation? The pair I purchased from Focalprice had a j-cord.

No, it was given to me by a local dealer for reviewing purpose. I would guess it belongs to the latest batch since it arrived about two weeks ago from HK. May be SoundMAGIC has a reversion?

Very possible, my PL-11 are from a couple months back. With the local dealer, can you tell us if there is any possiblity of future SoundMAGIC reviews?

The local dealer is only selling PL20 and PL11 at the moment (plus previously PL30). Since I already bought two of them myself (PL20 and 30) and he had given me a pair of PL11, I guess that means I won't be making any review on another SoundMAGIC till another opportunity comes. In short: no plan yet but won't rule out the possibility.

Yes, I know NuForce has a dealer there, but they are located outside of my usual 'operating zone' and I am too lazy to travel to their place just to pick a earphone up, especially since I am only mildly interested in NuForce's IEM. There are simply too many IEM these daysand I am trying to focus on those I find interesting. Than again, if SoundMAGIC is indeed their OEM, I think I can imagine how they will sound like...

Any chance of being able to review the old Shure e5c? These are my current pair and like to see how they stack up to the UE10s. I just bought a set of SE530 and was disappointed.
