What Apps Do You Use? (OS X)

Thread Starter
I was curious as to what applications, other than those bundles, Head-Fiers were running on their machines, particularly those who use OS X. You never know when you wil find a gem of an app through another person's list.

1Password - Fantastic password management
Adium - Chat across a multitude of platforms
Anxiety - A simple to-do list app
Caffeine - Prevents screen from going dark while reading articles
CoverSutra - Quick, elegant, access to iTunes controls such as ratings
Libra - Library management for iTunes
Max - Audio file conversion and CD ripping
NetNewsWire - RSS news reader
Skitch - Screen capture utility (images)
VLC - Video playback
World of Goo - Time waster

Peace,
Ruel

This is going to be my first head-fi post :-).
I am also running OSX 10.5.6 and in search of good apps.

Let me share my list of apps for my music

VLC
QT PRO
iTunes
-SRS iWOW plug-in

I recommend the SRS iWOW plug-in for itunes. I wouldn't think it is appealing to audiophiles since the SRS iWOW makes the music sound quite artificial in my perspective. However, if you are on the go with your Mac w/ just a headphone, and enjoy bass, its a fun plug-in.

Cheers

Been into plex, toast, vlc, cyberduck, candybar, various google apps, most adobe apps, Xpad - looooove xpad!

I'm sure there's many others, but they spring to mind ATM

Too many useful applications to list, but the one that really separates OS X from other operating systems in daily stuff for me is OmniWeb. I really wish The Omni Group would port that browser to Windows. Leopard's built-in VNC viewer is by far the best out there too. By far...

insomniaX - to prevent macbook from sleep while closing the lids
Growl
USB overdrive - to enable back button on my microsoft 5000 bluetooth mouse
Alarm Clock pro - for alarm, quite handy sometimes

Songbird - Audio player from Mozilla
Textmate - Programming oriented text editor
Time Machine - Apples backup program
Perian (I (mostly) stopped using VLC when I found this) - Adds a whole bunch of codecs to Quicktime
QT Pro - Quick time Professional
XLD - for converting to pesky flac files to ALAC
Caffeine - Keeping the computer awake
Photoshop - Image editing and creation
Google Earth - Mapping software
Transmission - Bittorrent client
Handbrake - DVD ripping and compression
Skype - VoIP service
Messenger:Mac - Official Microsoft MSN client for Apple

Quite a few, but I particularly like the newest implementation of Open Office.

I just tried out launchbar and it's so far so good. And then, there's:

Candybar
Transmit
Unison
Chicken of the VNC
VLC
Open Office
USB Overdrive
Quicksilver
Parallel
NetNewsWire

Does anyone know any good converter programs for converting audio files?

iMousefix - Fixes mouse acceleration curve
iSquint - Converts videos for my iPod
Last.fm - Scrobbling
Max - Music transcoding
Vuze - Torrenting in classic interface. I used to use Vuze, then went to Transmission, but it continually crashed and was unstable. Then it started inducing system freezes, and looking through support tickets, the developers refuse to acknowledge problem, saying that Apple must be doing something wrong. They obviously don't understand that applications are supposed to be built for operating systems and computers, not the other way around. Therefore, I went back to Vuze after trying numerous versions of Transmission (i think .8, 1.11, and 1.40)
UnRarX - Extraction tool
xAct - FLAC tagger
Adium - IM
Firefox - Internet browser
iWork - Text editor, slide maker, and graph maker
Photoshop CS3 - Image editor
VLC - The king of video playback
iTunes - Music
Aurora - Alarm clock

Widgets I use:
Calc board - Calculator
Gmail inbox - Tells me how many unread messages I have
StickiesPlus - Stickies... ENHANCED!
TextTranslator - Translator
The Weather Channel - Weather
vines - Random flowery pictures generated every 60 seconds
Webster - Dictionary
Dictionary - Dictionary and thesaurus
iCal - Calendar

I actually looked at it the other day but was put off by the fact that they only offer the binary version. Although I could compile it, I'm too lazy to hunt down all the necessary libraries to do so. Maybe I'll give it a try.

Mail
Firefox
iTunes
iPlayer Downloader (not... NOT... the naughty one)
VLC
Quicktime (for when VLC decides to have kittens)
iSquint (for shrinking video files onto my N95)
Max
CueSplitter (handy)
Adium (very occasionally)
JDarkRoom (for when I REALLY need to do some serious typing)

Redline (awesome racing game with loads of expansion stuff freely available)
Plus various widgets (the standard weather, stickynote and quick calculator stuff)
