Please check the link in my signature. In short, volume = "yes", properly amplified = "no".

HD600 is more forgiving then HD650 in my experience, but still, it is not driven greatly by a portable.

You say portable amps dont supply enough current but dont give any stats to back up your claim. cant see your sig.

 

i know the hd650 need about 2 watts rms and the pico supplys more than that.

 

how much current does it need and how much current does the pico supply?

i did read the blog in your sig but doesn't talk technically about it or give any real evidence.

 

looks like no one can answer this question.

 

Voltage stays the same, when you turn the volume knob it varies the current which varies the volume, so logic tells me if there is enough volume there is enough current.

 

is this wrong?

Faulty logic. That may only mean no one can prove you wrong *yet* (and I don't think you've even met that bar yet). Case in point: the former *fact* that the earth is flat.
