iPod HFI-580 and HFI 2200

Just viewed the video about these on the cnet website.
on the review video it mentioned the higher impedance / lower sensativity HFI 2200 is suited to iPods, while they dont recommened the lower impedance / higher sensativity HFI 580 to be used with an iPod...

is this true?! i thought the lower impedance (32 vs 75) and higher sensativity (101 vs 94) of the HFI-580 would be much easier to be driven by the iPod!! / Portable players.

My 580 sounds just fine straight out of my ipod. Yes, it does sound better with an amp but without it doesn't make it substantially deficient. Usually I don't give too much credit to cnet when it comes to audio products.
