Are there an replacement model for iCans in the future? or have these really had horrible sales. I like the lower weight on these, but alot said the sound quality is not worth $129 USD, and not even better than the Senn PX100 etc.

It took 342 views for some one to post the iCans new model future.

Just a bump to get people's attention, what about the semi-open design do they leak sound in? and out? do the pads wear out after a while.

I probably wont get these, until the design is changed i suppose... better headband, better non-recessed midrange would be more ideal perhaps.

There are Ultrasone reps here, but they never seem to step up and answer. Very disappointing.

We did a bake-off of several light HPs at the office, and the iCans came in dead last. I couldn't give them away to the staffers!

So I wear them myself now at the gym. They leak sound, they don't isolate well. And SQ is for sure below the Senn PX-100.

But the headband goes behind the head, and they look great and feel great at the gym, so I use 'em. Pads wear very well, I abuse the pads and they are still fine. But I wouldn't buy them when you can buy PX-100s.

Thanks Wavoman, ive finally stopped thinking about getting the iCans and moving on to my next targets :P ESW9 or Alessandro MS-2 :P

I love them, and have for awhile. But unfort. I think I am the only one. In my opinion the sound justifies their price. I think it comes down to the Ultrasone sound, you either get it or you don't.

Ive got no issues with the sound as i loved my Pro 750 :P but how much of a down grade is from Pro 750 that can be an issue, i cant even listen to my ER6i anymore :P HAHAHA after got my TF10

Exactly! I certainly appreciate the Ultrasone "sound" of the Pro 750, but the iCans are way, way below the 750 in SQ. No question.

Much as i like the iCans, I love my HFi-15G's even more. iCans vs px100? The sound is more open, but it's the recessed midrange that kills all the good that the iCans do, and the bass and treble response isn't bad.

personally, and especially with the new model, my new love are the HFI-15G's. They're not perfect, but they're better than the iCans.

111+ views no one knows if iCans new model future? i really like portable and light headphones < 100Grams and either open or closed. mostly i think should be on ear.
Here's the replacement http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f103/u...e-zino-418342/

Anyone know how to open iCans? I might have to do a recable because I can't stand to know the Zino has OFC cable while my iCans don't :[.

Hi, Nuforce is releasing a new headphone called the UR-30, which IMO is based highly on the Ultrasone Icans. They're gonna be released next month with a projected price of $79

If anything, it might be sort of the like how Allesandros are to Grado - same design/driver, but tweaked/refine

I had the 700's for a while; but I found them to be a bit lacking in bass. Does any know how they compared to the iCans

I'd love to hear more comparing the iCans vs. the HFI-15's. From their descriptions, they seem to have the same mylar driver, but obviously an different overall design.

Do they scale well with an amp? What associated gear (source, amp, cables, etc.) are you using?

TIA.

I've been on vacation since April 20th and all I have to listen to is my iCans and an mp3 player. It sounds extremely good with the mp3 player but sounds very weird out of my compass dac/amp at home. I suspect it scales inversely . When I get back home in mid-May I'll see again, but it sounds just so darn amazing out of my mp3 player after ~250 hours of burn-in that if it sounds any better out of the compass I might be giving it more listening at home.
