IC:: Qualia 010  

Not a big fan of placing interest checks... but be it as it may, this is a rare item that seldom comes for sale.

I am considering selling my Qualia 010 [MDR-010]. I have a few add-ons [beside the headphone's accessories] that I would be interested in selling along with the headphones, or at least have sold them before the headphones themselves. The point being that it would be of no use for me to have them without having the headphones around any longer.

They are fitted with a small headband and have red earpads. The only sign of wear on the headphones is in the earpads. Otherwise they are pristine. I have all original packing, stand, etc. These cans have never been outside my premises. I am the original owner. NO smoke and no kids or pets -enviromnent while I have owned/used this item.

Few words about the 010: The most detailed headphones I've owned and when properly dialed-in, they are very comfortable to the point that you forget you are wearing headphones at all.


TO the point of the extra the accessories I have:

**Two blue earpads, brand new, in-the-box. I would like to get $375 for both. [Sony sells them individually for $203.88 each. The ideal color as it masks wear better than the red color.

The items, including a balanced Wyvern cable, which I forgot to mention in my OP, this is included as well. This is the best cable I used with the 010. This cable was upward of $300, but honestly I don't remember how much I paid for it. This cable is fitted for use with a balanced amplifier. The standard cable, is on the headphones in this picture. The white box in the pic, [which actually is silverish], is the original box. I also have the external cardboard box.


Detail of the earpads. No scratches or rubbed areas. I tried to show signs of what I call wear as profoundly as I can, they are actually less noticeable without flash.

I have been quite busy today and have not been feasible for me to reply to every message I have received. So I will put some points that will give some information and some answers.

-What's is the going rate for this headphone? I was quite astonished to learn that it is quite a bit high. I promised not to divulge the last price paid for a pair of Qualia's but it is significantly more than that of the MSRP.

The bottom line is this: I would not mind selling at the going rate, but I also understand that it would take time for someone to prepare a payment for this transaction. Unfortunately, time is something I do not have right now as I am preparing to leave for an extended period in the following weeks.

So the potential sell will likely be on indefinite hold. Thanks to all who wrote with interest.

This is correct: This is the the ballpark selling rate for the headphones alone.

Btw, I forgot to mention that the headphones include the Wyvern balanced cable in the package. This is without a doubt the best cable I've tried. {I tried the balanced Moon Audio, Cardas Audio). I found the Wyvern to be the most faithful cable to the sound signature of the Qualia.
