Well i will start with the stock Chinese ones, then ill probe experiment with WE, Sophia, EML, E-H, and a few special ones that people have recommended to me in PM's.

Quite a few to start playing with !

Re the colour - appears i could well be boring in going for silver. Black just chows up everything dust wise - i have a black car - and have learned that lesson the hard way. Plus silver matches the SRA's and other equipment i have. Who said yellow?!

The Nagra's were good amps - but at GBP £20k for pre and power way overpriced and just not as good as youd think. My Luxman replacement is i no way inferior - and i was very surprised at that.

Cheers

Lee

BTW - listened to Avishai Cohen Trio last night - the new album - amazing on the HR Balanced / D5k.

Yeah - its a fantastic combo. Even though ill have the Woo + various cans - the HR/D5K will always remain an alternative in my system. It is that good and v.def. a 'keeper'.

Are the ceramic based Sophia tubes better than the black based ones?

See, now to me, there is nothing like the look of natural brushed aluminum or stainless steel. Anodized black on the other hand........ yuck!

Black amps always sound better.
And bright blue led's add that 'something' extra!

I admit to being a Woo Audio Fan-person. The products are certainly well-made and perform magnificently. I am sure you will no longer need to buy more headphone equipment as you are in the 'upper tier'. Cheers.

Agreed

Black only looks good on SLR Cameras in my opinion.

Two tone would be nice. Since Ray Samuels is doing his little amps in 2 tones I have been impressed with the look. For the Woo 5, I think red with gold face plate and gold transformers along with an orange LED light. That would look cutting edge.

Have the Woo 3 in black and yes I too have ordered a 5 LE in silver with a preamp out X2. The black always shows dust and silver has a medical look with the 300bs I thought. Can't wait!

How much did it cost?
