they are made from finnish birch plywood.
they might be really uncomfortable as i doubt they would be adjustable, but who cares? they might sound like crap, but who cares? they might be the best looking headphones that i've seen in my life!

i've read they cost about 250€, way cheaper that i expected.

I think it is AKG's discontinued K 50. They are sexier in their original color.

these akg look marvelous too, and way advanced they look like 40 years ahead of their time. do you have any other pics?

If they were solid-colour laminate and not woodgrain I think they'd look nicer.

I don't know if they're the sexiest ever, but that is a clean, modernist design. I like them a lot, though they might not be very comfortable or sound good.

And to rile things up, I think these are beautiful:



Clean, industrial design. Something like the blinged out K-701 is ugly to me.

The K50s will celebrate their 50th birthday in the coming 2009. I do have a pair of K50. I can post some photos later.

Those are terrible looking. It looks like a stick that someone bent and haphazardly attached some drivers to. The design is elegant but I really hate the drivers. They just look awful. The plywood is a neat idea and would be cool if someone used a similar material for an adjustable headband connected to nice looking drivers.
