Use an USB port in the back on the computer. Check if the connector is loose.

It's official, I always get error msg c00d124d when my zune fill up around 15gb. So my 30gb zune decided to become 15gb instead. WTF. I have reformatted them 3x and it's still stuck around 15gb.

I never had a problem with mine. These things are funny. I got an Ipod, after freezing a bunch of times, I shipped it back. I have a zen now. I had to reset it a few times, then all of a sudden, the problem disappeared. I have new rule for electronics-buy from a brick and mortar. Keep downloading the updates...

I purchased a Zune 30GB, recently - I've also had a few random shutdowns (enough of them that it was noticeable, but not too frequent). My suspicion right now is static electricity - there was one time in particular when it seemed to coincide with a static discharge. But, I need to use it more before I can really say that with 100% certainty.

15 months of Zune30 ownership here and other than the New Year meltdown its hasnt dropped a beat.

I just had it happen again, in the last few days - during another static shock. Must be my office setup. But again, this is the only DAP of mine that has this problem.

Nope, no random shutdowns on my Zune. But I have noticed that anytime I leave the software for more than 5 minutes to sync more music to my Zune, my computer restarts out of nowhere. I'm hoping it's not some corrupted file, but I can't tell what else it could be. Sadness.

No random shutdowns for me; just freezes during some videos and I have to hard shutdown and restart.
