Can the Westone 3 be fully driven from a Sony Walkman (S639F)?

Hi, I recently decided I was going to start saving up for these, but does the sound seem like it needs to be "cleaned up" when driven from a player like the Sony Walkman, or will it still be as incredible as it should be without an amp?

I too, am interested in learning about suitable DAPs to drive the W3's. I just ordered a set yesterday, and they are the first IEM's I have ever owned (though they aren't in my hands yet...). I also scored a Sansa Clip 4 GB on slickdeals.net last week for $35. (First ever DAP for me). I am hoping that the Clip will be a suitable DAP to drive the W3's.

Please, someone tell me I don't need an amp. The Mrs. is still a bit bent that I paid $320 (after cashback), for a set of earphones. I really don't want to have to spend any more loot on a portable rig right now.....

Oh, and hello everyone. This is my first post, but I have enjoyed reading about IEM's on this site.
