Hello,

I am selling my *** NON-WORKING Zero AMP/DAC w/ OPA-Moon HDAM from audio-gd. It has the OPA-Moon in the DAC slot, and LT1364 opamps (highly recommended by users) in the headphone section. It is essentially in the condition that I received it, except for the fact that I did this mod recommended by Currawong and Prickley Peete as outlined in this post:

An interesting find on the web is a site called The Lampizator. In it, the owner does some quite crazy modifications to his Zero in the name of better sound. However, while we aren't interested in the really crazy stuff, one of the mods is quick, easy and only requires a small pair of wire cutter or even strong scissors and is well worth it, scary as it sounds.

As stated on the Lampizator site in the "bad points" about the Zero: "The output RCA are connected to noise killing caps which shouldn't be there at all." If you snip off these caps, the muffled treble of the Zero will clear up considerably, opening up the top end. *** NON-WORKING Description: My Zero was working fine, but after sending it to a Head-fier, it has stopped working. Everything else seems to work fine (headphone amp, power supply, etc.) EXCEPT the digital signal led does not turn on, meaning that the amp cannot sense the inputs (both optical and coaxial) for some reason. I'm not sure what's wrong with it. There are no burns of any kind. The DAC board looks pristine. If you can't fix it, I'm sure you can buy a replacement DAC board from wsz0304 (see eBay auction below) for about $35 shipped! Many people have gotten replacement boards from their failed mods. Please look it up in the thread. wsz0304 has great customer service!

I also have a replacement faceplate that I got from the seller wsz0304 because the original had a tiny scratch on the corner. Currently, the original faceplate is installed. Basically, everything is the same as this auction except for the OPA-Moon + replacement faceplate + LT1364 opamps in the headphone amp section:

I just want to say... Wow. This is one baller Zero at an impressively low price.

Not so much anymore.
