RCA > RCA

I'm having trouble plugging them into anything. It's really annoying. After much shoving (and praying I don't break the thing I'm plugging them into) they finall go through. Even then, I don't get audio.

I've made 1 good cable (it's really tight, though) and 2 bad ones.
-edit- Make that two good (still tight) cables and one bad one.

1. It's tight, wtf do i do?
2. i'm not getting audio (re-doing tips, it's my first time so i didn't expect anything to go right)

Are you using locking RCA plugs? If yes makes sure they are completely unlocked before inserting. Also, some RCAs are very tight indeed. Different female RCA jacks can vary in size considerably also since some cables plug easily say to the CDP but don't go easy on the amp end.

Did you use a continuity meter when you made the cables?

I'm using those tips. They don't lock, as far as I know.

I don't even know what a continuity meter is.
