Yes, W3 maybe best ever listening at low volumes. I think it is the huge bass bass extension.

It kills the UM2 in this regard.

Xin Supermini. Not portable enough in my book.

I sorta wish they put a nozzle on the bore because I find that the tips move around a bit too much but that will probably change when I get the custom tips

I was only going by their thickness in comparison to the UE super.fi . But then again fishing wire is extremely thin whilst being very strong.

well if the W3's cables are really made of tough materials then great :-) . since the original thick cable that came with the super.fi's were so sound conductive and uncomfortable I actually stoped using them until I bought a much better replacement cable .

At the moment I can't give a listening comparison because I need a replacement cable for my Super Fi Pro 5 EB.And last time I looked their were no internet shops that had the replaceable cable currently in stock. ( in the UK)

But you know when you've listened to a certain genre of music for a while using only one ear phone it has a lasting sound image so I'll have to do a comparison from memory for now.

I did wear/listen with the Super Fi everyday for months and months and as far as bass is concerned the W3's give a more accurate representation of the bass.It's one of the sounds I noticed as soon as I put them on,the Initial attack of the Drum is more noticable or rather the phones manage to keep pace with the 'expectation' of the minds anticipated Rhythm.
Their is no Ear phone/recording in the world that could ever be a true comparrison to the clarity of a actual physical drum and the speed,method.sensitivity of our ears to hear that vibration but the W3's do a fine job .

They actually do handle bass better than the Super.fi 5 Extended Bass .Though if your a total bass head you may as well stick with the EB's because that perception is more dynamics rather than amount.I can't say one way or another if the W3's can give more low bass sound but they can certainly handle that low vibe better than the EB's and allow the drums and bass to have a sense of Air/space or to breath. How low vibrations naturally act.Thus they feel more roomy than the EB's.

Like a drums Attack,sustain,release,decay the W3's give me, a sense of more a accurate image of a drums/bass natural personality .


Anyway if you choose these IEM's or not.

It's all about the listenner in truth.So go fill ya heads with sound :-)

Oh no, I'm more talking about the crashes and lagging I would experience on 2.0 and 2.1. Like if I accessed this page on 2.1, if I tried to type in my user name/password while the page was loading, Safari would crash about half the time. Since I updated to 2.2, I haven't had it crash once.

wait theres a westone 3 2.2 now?

I shouldn't have brought it up.... iPhone software version 2.2. Like I said, it was random.
