My bad. Figured there was no way you could have the W3s again. But I should have checked. Have to go read your post.

Edit: Didn't see it on the IE8 thread. Would be interested to hear your comments about the W3s the third time around.

The stang is tiny also, I know it's thicker but it's close to the size of a T4! If the new sony was also in that pic I think I would keel over from audio lust.

I figured that the W3 meant I was supposed to buy them 3 times. Is that not what the 3 stands for?

Anyway, I have a few more days to decide if I really want to keep them again. Somehow, I have a better fit now, and sibilance is greatly reduced and not quite such an ear-grater any more

I only got them once, but it might as well have been three times, because it took me three go-rounds (and about three months) until I hit the right combo of sleeves, fit, etc. But now, I am hooked.

Hi! Not sure if you may have mentioned it or not, but have you given UM56 tips consideration? I can't wait for mine to come in!

It only takes me a matter of milliseconds before I nail the audio characteristics of an iem/phone and then I NEVER change my mind. Imagine taking about a billion crays and network them together. Then multiply that by the square of the universe and you get a tenth of my audiological cognitive ability. Which is just a quark of my total cognitive ability.

So you guys really think the W3 are good? should I get them?

Hmm, well my feelings are pretty obvious. You can always return them if you don't get the fit/sound of hearing them at their best. Of course, if you really like them, will you sell the IE8s or keep both? I wanted to keep them both, but the economy told me otherwise. So I made the choice. I didn't like parting with the IE8s, but whenever I get upset, I just plug in the W3s.

I actually considering for long time but hesitate due to reported sibilance and fit issue (based on UM2).

I should stay away from head-fi after got my IE8... T_T

Yeah, try the W3's.... and the Mustang! Wallet be damned... ha ha. At least with the W3's you don't have to suffer through the better part of a two week burn in process in order to hear the true nature of them. You'll be able to start comparing right away.

Does amp like mustang help W3. I have a sony A729 walkman which sounds very good. however it has no line out. The reason for asking is that i am upgrading to W3 soon and need to see if i need to get an amp. Also i see the small cables people use to hook up with amps. where do i get those ?
