How to hide itunes store in itunes?

or at least turn off these annoying arrows? I just got a new version of itunes it seems and there used to be a "show store links" check box. I hate the store, don't want anything to do with it, and if they start forcing me to see their stupid links, I'm going to consider a different program.

i like itunes, and my ipod, and i like apple, but if they use that to try to force me to buy their controlled mp3's or get their store involved and try to control my music, I will get really angry...

Executing the following command in Terminal should work:
Code:
defaults write com.apple.iTunes show-store-arrow-links -bool FALSE

Thanks, that worked for me! I found the links a bit annoying but apparently not enough to google for the solution myself. =)

You can also use parental controls to hide the store

Nice, Im going to try parental controls, because the store is really inappropriate and definitely corrupting me...

You're welcome!
..and thanks for reporting that it works. Cause I use iTunes Store myself, and hence have no interest in removing the shortcut.
